"Sunny"

I was thinking about my breeding program at a National one year while I was watching the bitches in the ring & decided that I needed a plush, low stationed, good shoulder, and of course moving machine. A friend of mine told me about a litter that was on the ground & put me in touch with Kathy Casteel Field. When I got home I called Kathy & we talked & Sunny and her brother were shipped to us in Feb. At that time they were 7 months old.

Sunny was like a dream come true. We entered her in a few shows to see what she looked like in the ring & then went from there. She was entered in Toplines show in July & got a Best Puppy one of her first times out. Sunny competed in some top shows with some very heavy competition & was always right in there if she didn't win. Mike put most of the points on her & Leslie also put points on her along the way to her Championship.

We then decided to enter she in Best Of Breed competition at the 1997 National. I called Steve LaRosa to see if he would handle her & we were off to the National in Perry,GA.

The show began!!!!! She never missed a step & never put a foot down wrong.  Sunny went around & made the first cut (I thought I would die), then the second group & so on. Sunny stayed up front until the very end & she had some really nice bitches to keep company with.
Sunny ended up Select # 3.

After the National we were looking at who to breed her to next & we liked GV CH MarHaven's Color Guard. This is who she was then bred to.

The pups that are out now are out of our Flag son.
We are starting them out & hope to have as much fun with them as we did Sunny.

Sunny is a joy to live with & there's never a dull moment as she is very much full of life & I love every minute of it.
